REQUEST TENDER FOR EXTERNAL EVALUATOR TO EVALUATE TRAINING PROJECT
PROJECT TITLE: BRIDGING THE DIGITAL DIVIDE FOR TRAVELLER MEN
1. PROJECT
The project will support the unmet digital literacy needs of Traveller
men through:
TAILORED CURRICULUM: Develop a curriculum specifically designed to
address the digital literacy needs of Traveller men. This curriculum
will cover essential digital skills such as basic computer operation,
internet navigation, email usage, online safety, and utilizing digital
tools to overcome any other literacy needs.
CULTURAL SENSITIVITY: Ensure that the curriculum, teaching materials,
and instructional methods are culturally sensitive and relevant to the
experiences and preferences of Traveller men. This will be by adopting
a softer approach of learning and with the support of the project
coordinator
HANDS-ON TRAINING: Provide practical, hands-on training sessions that
allow participants to actively engage with digital devices and
applications.
2. PURPOSE OF THE EVALUATION
The primary purpose of this evaluation is to assess the effectiveness,
impact, and sustainability of the digital literacy program for
traveller men. The evaluation will provide insights into program
successes and areas for improvement.
3. OBJECTIVES
The specific objectives of the evaluation include:
* Assessing the extent to which the project achieved its intended
outcomes.
* Evaluating participant satisfaction and engagement levels.
* Identifying best practices and lessons learned.
* Providing recommendations for future projects
4. SCOPE OF WORK:
The evaluator will be responsible for:
* Reviewing project documentation, including curricula, reports, and
participant feedback.
* Conducting interviews and focus groups with participants,
facilitators, and stakeholders.
* Collecting and analyzing data related to participant outcomes.
* Presenting findings in a final evaluation report.
* A report detailing the evaluation approach and timeline.
* Draft report with preliminary findings for feedback.
* Final evaluation report, including findings, analysis, and
recommendations.
* Presentation of findings to stakeholders.
5. THE EVALUATOR MUST HAVE
* Proven experience in evaluating educational programs.
* Familiarity with digital literacy initiatives.
* Understanding of the cultural context of traveller communities.
